In 1917 there are only a few in Germany, the dream of the war would soon be victorious and come to an end. More than a million soldiers were killed in the battles of the Somme the year before or injured. And now, protests well into the German Parliament, an ever greedier war economy in Germany, the revolution in Russia, mutinies in the French armed forces. The German parliament decides in July 1917 a peace resolution without consequences. A peace note of Pope in August met with rejection.
As the book publisher prints a text of a 86-year-old woman who is condemned to war with no ifs and buts. Special feature: This text was already two years old.
